Now focus on the main part of the blog which is the chillie crab curry recipe. This recipe is very simple to make, only thing you have to do is add right amount of ingredients in the right time & make sure to get explosive combination as instructions mentioned below. Let's go to the ingredients & find out what are the requirements.
MAIN INGREDIENT
- 5-6 Pretty good size of sea crabs, make sure to grab quality crabs when you buy
CURRY INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup of coconut milk
- 1/2 Cup of water
- 200g of desiccated coconut. must be grind earlier.
- Few slices of finely chopped garlic
- Finely chopped 1 big red onion
- 1 Chopped Ginger
- 3 Tbsp of Unroasted curry powder
- Coconut oil
- 1/4 Tbsp of turmeric powder
- 1 Tbsp of Cayenne pepper
- 2 Tbsp of sugar
- 2 Tbsp of tamarind paste
- Drumstick Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 10 of Green & Red Chillies
- Salt as your Taste
How to prepare...
- First we need to clean our crabs before we cook, For that we need to boil water adding salt & boil our crabs 2 minutes, when you remove crab form hot water straightly put to the cool water to stop cooking with heat. then firmly clean your crabs and prepare to cook
- add coconut oil to the pan & heat over medium heat, when the oil ready and hot just add chopped onion, ginger, garlic then saute for few minutes until onions look golden brown.
- Then we need to add Unroasted curry powder, Cayenne pepper, turmeric powder & previously grind coconut. leave it for at least 3 minutes to cook until it become gravy mixture of all added ingredients.
- Then add tamarind paste, Green & red high heat chillies, Curry leaves & Coconut milk. add some salt as your taste & for some sweetness flavour add 2 Tbsp of sugar as well. leave it to boil.
- Then we have a fine gravy with full of aroma. now we need to placed our crabs in to the gravy, add some water & make sure crabs well coated with thick gravy.
- Now boil on medium high heat, cover & simmer for 20 minutes until crabs colour change as a orange.
- In between this process make sure your crabs well coated with the thick gravy as well
- Then add 1/2 cup of extra coconut milk & make the gravy more creamy.
- Finally add drumstick leaves & let it simmer with your delicious chillie crab curry.
Before you serve your Chillie crab curry make sure to garnish as your preference because we need to satisfy our eyes as well as our mouth.
